Print Process - Book Research

Whilst researching books for the Print Process brief, i came across this idea from as student who was creating a self-promotional piece to send out as his CV. Although not a completely original idea to send yourself out there in the form of a book, i think some of the typography he has used to sell himself within the pages is just beautiful, and shows the different skills in a variety of formats. Its a clever idea for a CV, but as i am thinking of incorporating typography into my book design, this is a really good way of using different methods to display type within a book.

The ‘Hello’ label binding the book is a really nice touch and makes it look a lot more inviting and professional.

I completely agree, this is absolutely beautiful. I think a lot of designers struggle to hit what they really want to send out as a c.v, although this isn’t totally original, they stying is quite unique. I love the hello label too!

I think sometimes a student doesn’t need to show something thats 100% original, just something that stands out and shows the quality of work they can produce, after all they are going in at junior level anyway. I really like it, its beautiful and pretty and really well made.
